Tom’s Pesto Panini

Prep Time: 10 minutes / Cook Time: 6 minutes / Yields: 1 sandwich

California Sun Dry

Ingredients

Sliced sourdough bread
Butter
Black forest ham, sliced
Swiss or gruyere cheese, sliced or grated
Sun-Dried Tomato Pesto
Julienne Cut Sun-Dried Tomatoes
(all amounts are to taste)

Instructions

Step 1
Preheat skillet or panini press to medium.

Step 2
Butter the outside of the bread. Place the first piece of bread, butter side down in the skillet or press and spread a layer of sun-dried tomato pesto.

Step 3
Top pesto with cheese, ham, and sun-dried tomatoes. Follow with another layer of cheese and a second piece of bread.

Step 4
In skillet, flip over when the bottom slice is nicely browned and brown the other side. Close press and cook until both sides are brown.
